About Us
Publixy Magazine publishes plain-language articles on personal finance, mortgages, credit, and investing, for readers who want to understand a money decision before they make it.
About Publixy Magazine
Publixy Magazine is an online publication that focuses on everyday finance. Our articles fall into four areas: Personal Finance, Mortgages & Home Loans, Credit Cards & Credit Scores, and Investing.
Each article tries to answer one practical question, such as how a monthly mortgage payment is calculated, what separates a secured card from an unsecured one, or whether a first $100 is enough to start investing.
Our Mission
We want readers to understand money topics clearly enough to make informed decisions for themselves. We explain how things work, show the trade-offs, and say plainly when the right answer depends on your own situation.
We don't promise financial outcomes, and we don't treat any single approach as right for everyone.
What We Cover
This list reflects what we have published so far:
- Personal Finance: budgeting and saving basics, such as the 50/30/20 rule and building an emergency fund.
- Mortgages & Home Loans: monthly payments, refinancing costs, and choosing between loan terms.
- Credit Cards & Credit Scores: how scores work, how card types differ, and preparing your credit before a loan application.
- Investing: getting started, index funds and ETFs, and dividend versus growth stocks.
We would rather add topics as we can cover them well than claim topics we haven't.
Who We Create Content For
Our articles are written for everyday readers rather than finance professionals: people comparing loan terms, working on a credit score, setting up a budget, or taking first steps in investing.
Many articles are written with U.S. readers in mind, so they refer to U.S. products, scoring models, and rules. If you live elsewhere, check how the details apply where you are.
Our Approach to Content
We aim to give a direct answer early, explain the reasoning behind it, and be clear about scope. Where an article relies on figures or rules from an outside source, such as a credit scoring company or a mortgage agency, we try to name that source so you can check the original.
Our articles also state what they do not cover, so you know when you need more than a general guide.
Editorial Team and Authorship
Articles on Publixy Magazine are currently published under the site's editorial byline rather than individual author profiles. We don't present our writers as licensed financial advisors, accountants, or attorneys, and our articles shouldn't be read as the work of one.
Where named authors or reviewers are added, we will describe their roles on their profile pages.
Accuracy and Transparency
Rules, rates, and scoring models change. Our articles are general education. They don't take into account your income, debts, goals, or risk tolerance, and they are not personalized investment, tax, legal, credit, or financial advice. For decisions about your own situation, please speak with a qualified, licensed professional.
Publixy Magazine is a publication. It is not a bank, lender, brokerage, or financial advisory firm, and we don't claim that our articles are professionally reviewed.
If you find an error or an outdated figure, please tell us through our Contact Us page. We review correction requests as reasonably possible.
Advertising and Commercial Transparency
Advertising may appear on some pages and is labeled as an advertisement. If we add affiliate links or sponsored content, we will label them clearly so you can tell them apart from our editorial articles.
When an article mentions a company, product, or service, it is there to explain the topic. It is not an endorsement or recommendation unless we say so.
Our Commitment to Readers
- Write in plain language and avoid unnecessary jargon.
- Say when an answer depends on your circumstances.
- Avoid guarantees about financial results.
- Welcome corrections and review them in good faith.
